Health & Wellness

The safety and well-being of our campers is our number-one priority. Our camps surpass the requirements established by the State of Michigan and the Board of Health. We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association.

We know it is hard for our parents to be away when their child is sick. Please know that the safety and well-being of our campers is our top priority. Our fully equipped, air-conditioned Health Center is staffed with 10 nurses who are available 24 hours a day! A pediatrician is always on call, and two local hospitals are only 15 minutes away. We will always contact you if your child has to spend the night in the Health Center or seek outside medical care. We do not call if your child is seen by one of our nurses for a minor illness or injury, like tummy aches, headaches, etc.

Medication Policies

We REQUIRE all prescription and non-prescription medications to be ordered and dispensed by Medicine Tree Pharmacy. This includes “as-needed” medication that is not taken daily.

In order to meet the needs of our campers who require medication while at camp, and to comply with strict state regulations on medication dispensing for summer camps, we work with Medicine Tree Pharmacy.
