The Staff Experience

We are seeking role models who are hard working, talented, fun and interested in working with children. All counseling staff live in cabins as counselors and instruct an activity during the day. We have over 40 land and water activities to choose from to instruct.

Our counseling staff must be at least 19 years old or have completed one year of college. Salaries range from $1,850 on up for the nine week season, depending on age, qualifications, certifications, level of experience and position held. Room and board and all meals are included. The camp season runs from June 13th – August 15th which includes one week of pre-camp training. The camp offers Lifeguard and climbing courses that begin on June 10th.

From a staff member's point of view, our administrative staff, support staff and counseling staff for all programs are considered one team. Staff members will interact with all programs.

The Counselor Experience

Our female counseling staff will either live in a cabin at Lake of the Woods Camp for Girls or The Glen. Male counseling staff will either live in a cabin at Greenwoods Camp for Boys or The Grove. We train all the staff together and days and nights off will consist of staff from all 4 programs. Most staff members will instruct activities to campers from more than one of our programs.
