Ask a Lake of the Woods
camper about our special days and they will each have a different story
to tell. Our special days are designed to create those
once-in-a-lifetime stories that will be told far beyond camp-eligible
age! Each week a special day-long event is planned adding spontaneity,
fun and diversity to our program. Some of these days and events
include:
- Carnival Day
- Druther’s Day
- Olympic Days
- Color Days
- International Day
- The Amazing Race
Evening Programs
Every evening we have a different program.
Some of the favorites include: Decatur Idol, Dancing with the Staff,
Casino Night, Capture the Flag or team sports, campfires with songs and
s’mores, Skit Night, a photo scavenger hunt, tubing on our beautiful
lake, or even a trip to the nearby ice skating rink or Fun Park!
Trips out of Camp
Go on a trail walk around the sand mountains
at the Warren Sand Dunes on Lake Michigan or Feed the Giraffe’s at
Binder Park Zoo! Our day trips are something to look forward to. For
the adventurous campers, there is an optional overnight camping trip
where campers pitch their tents, canoe and raft down the river, cook
dinner on an open fire and sleep under the stars. |
