Our program at Lake of the Woods
is dedicated to promote individual growth and achievement. Our
staff provides expert individual and small group instruction in all
activities. The focus of our program is to help each camper grow in her
confidence and skills. We have an ‘A’ and ‘B’ day schedule, allowing
our girls to develop skills in 10 different activity areas.
Campers participate in five 55-minute
activity periods each ‘A’ day and a different five each ‘B’ day. If
they choose, campers may leave one activity period open three days a
week as a "free choice" period. During "free
choice" time, activities that are not taught as a class will be
available. For example, campers may go-cart, play in a ping-pong
tournament, jump on the water trampoline in the lake, make stationery,
play frisbee golf, get involved in a game of Ga-ga and more!
Rest hour is a time for campers to send and
receive mail, play games in the cabin, read a book or simply relax and
prepare for more afternoon excitement!
Here is an example of what a normal day will
look like at Lake of the Woods. Each camper will
design her own schedule so the ‘Customized Activity Schedule’ below is
